Tyson Crookmind Releases Album Entitled Free The Real

Putting in work is natural for Los Angeles rapper Tyson Crookmind. Born and raised in the infamous streets of South Central, Tyson, also known as T.Y., has lead a life full of painful lessons working through the struggles of cold, hard reality.

It makes sense that his debut project, titled “Free The Real” focuses on everything he’s learned through a life on the streets, prison and beyond. The 9-track project tells the complex story of his life thus far, from his neighborhood blocks and gangbangin’ to feeling trapped behind bars and fighting murder charges.

Now a free man after almost half his life locked up, Tyson is ready to share his trials and triumphs with the world. “Free The Real” includes features from Joe Moses, Tk and more. You can stream the album Free the Real and listen below.
